How to Draw Spaghetti. When it comes to food, it’s often the case that a particular dish is either really tasty or easy to make, and certainly not both.
Also, check our cute cat coloring pages.
However, some types of food achieve both, and spaghetti would be an excellent example.
Ironically, while spaghetti can be an easy dish to prepare, learning how to draw spaghetti can be quite a challenging and frustrating experience.
As with any drawing challenge, you can make things easier on yourself if you follow the right steps.
If you want to understand how to draw this classic dish but need help knowing where to start, this step-by-step tutorial on how to draw spaghetti will tell you everything you need to know!
How to Draw Spaghetti
Step 1
Before we start drawing the actual food, in this first step of our how-to-draw spaghetti tutorial, we’ll start with the plate it’s placed on.
First, draw a wide, curved horizontal line for the base of the slab.
As shown in our reference image, we’ll leave a large gap at the top of the plate since this is where the pile of spaghetti is later in the instructions.
Next, draw two more curved lines on either side of the inside of the panel.
Try to place them in the same position as they appear in the reference image, and then we can move on to step 2 of the guide!
Step 2
With the dish drawn, we can start adding the food to the spaghetti drawing. Spaghetti is made up of many individuals intertwined, so drawing them can be difficult!
For this reason, when drawing, we take it in sections. When drawing a subject like this, it’s best to take it slow and easy, and there’s no need to rush!
Using the reference image as a guide, you can add many sweeping, winding lines to create spaghetti noodles that twist and turn on your plate.
It sounds complex, but tackling it one at a time can be made a lot easier.
As we draw spaghetti, we’ll add a few smaller shapes to the mix to make it look like sauce, and other toppings have been added.
Step 3
Now that you’ve drawn a spaghetti section, the next few sections should be easier as we move on to this step of our how-to-draw spaghetti tutorial!
The next section is on the lower right side of the spaghetti stack.
To draw this section, continue what you started in the previous step and draw each noodle.
You can continue to add small portions of salsa and other toppings as you draw this section. When you’re done, we can move on to step 4 of the guide!
Step 4
You’re learning how to draw this twisted and delicious food! For the next step of this spaghetti design, we’ll add another section near the top of the spaghetti stack.
By now, you know the exercise! You can draw more twisted spaghetti with the usual toppings and other aspects.
At the end of this step, there will be some space left at the top of the stack, which we’ll fill in along with additional details in the next step of the guide.
Step 5
In this fifth step of our tutorial on drawing spaghetti, you will finish with the last part of the picture. To do this, drag another section of twisted noodles to close up this tasty stack.
Once you’ve added the final section, you can proceed to the final phase of the guide! If you want, you can also add some ideas and personal touches.
One idea might be to draw a background to show what other foods and drinks you plan to enjoy with these noodles.
Step 6
We will finish with some colors for the last step of this spaghetti design.
Spaghetti usually has lots of tasty sauces and other toppings, leaving plenty of opportunity for interesting and varied colors.
In our example image, we used some green, red, orange, and other colors for the sauce on the spaghetti. Then we used light orange and beige colors for the spaghetti itself.
Coloring this picture can get tricky, so you should use artistic tools that give you a lot of precision.
Your Spaghetti Drawing is Finished!
